Middle Provo River Fishing Update
The Middle Provo near Park City and Heber City is fishing very well. The flows are currently sitting around 576 CFS near River Road. Small midges have been the most productive patterns. Sizes 26-24 have been our best sizes. Best colors have been purple, brown, and gray. We have also been picking up a fair number of fish on small worms depending on the section of river you are at. The conditions will only continue to improve as the weather cool, making this an excellent time to get on the water.
Lower Provo River Fishing Update
The Lower Provo near Sundance is fishing ok right now. The water has cleared up, but there is still a lot of moss. This is presenting a fair amount of challenges for anglers. We are finding that the morning and the afternoon are fishing about the same. Focus on fishing areas where you don’t find a lot of moss. Fish have moved in the faster more oxygen water. Sow bugs have still been our best patterns. Sizes 18-22.
