Kennie started his fly fishing career at the age of 7 watching fish one day in the Kid’s Canal eating hoppers. He ties one to a hook, caught a fish, and it was all down hill from there. Kennie was the kid who if there was a creek, river, pond or puddle he wanted to find out if there were fish in it. He guided full time for 12 years before starting Salt Lake Fly Fishing Company. Kennie spends around 230 days a year on local waters following fish. In the winter he is a backcountry snowmobile guide, and in the spring and fall he loves chasing fish in saltwater flats. Kennie loves teaching and watching people fall in love with fly fishing. If he’s not ‘working’ you’ll find him on a river.

Levi believes fly fishing can change lives. As a Utah guide, he focuses on teaching anglers how rivers work, how trout think, and how to fish with intention and respect. His trips are designed for both beginners wanting a strong foundation and experienced anglers chasing something bigger. For Levi, guiding isn’t just about catching fish — it’s about building connection: to the river, to community, and to something wild that still matters.

Jack was born and raised in New York City, chasing fish off the coast of Long Island and skiing all around the northeast. At 20 he moved out west to Colorado and quickly became obsessed with the intricacies of fly fishing in the Rocky Mountains. 11 years later that infatuation never faded, and Jack has been working in the fly fishing industry for the last five years, entering his fourth year as a full time guide in Utah. Jack’s passion and enthusiasm for the sport can be seen most prevalently in his meticulously organized fly boxes, and through the joy he gets out of watching anglers catch their first fish, or their 1000th fish.

Derek Snodgrass grew up in western Montana, spending long days outside in the mountains and rivers. From 2014–2021, he spent summers commercial fishing in Alaska, then transitioned to his passion of full time fly fishing guiding.

Sam grew up in Steamboat Springs, Colorado fishing and floating the Yampa River and its tributaries. From a young age his dad taught him to fly fish and instilled a love of casting dry flies to rising trout. He loves showing anglers around our public waters on foot or in his boat and when he’s not got a rod in his hand, he’s often in his raft exploring the many white water rivers in the western US. In the winter you’ll find him and his avalanche rescue dog Mabel at Snowbird, where they work on the ski patrol.
