Middle Provo River Fishing Update

The Middle Provo River near Park City and Heber City is fishing excellent right now! Current flows are sitting around 570 CFS near River Road and the fish are happy as can be. Small midges have been the most productive patters. You want to go small. Sizes 26-24 in colors gray and brown have brought most of the fish to the net. The conditions will only get better as the weather continues to cool, making this an excellent time to get out on the water.

Lower Provo River Fishing Update

The Lower Provo near Sundance is fishing ok right now. The water has cleared up a bit, but there is still a lot of moss and grass in the system. This can present issues for anglers. Both the morning and the afternoon are fishing equally. Fish and fish any areas that you don’t find an abundance of moss. The most productive patterns have been sow bugs (size 18-22) and small BWO patterns in sizes 20-22.
